Zlin filmfest to vie Iran’s ‘The End of Dreams’

Iran film ‘The End of Dreams’ is to go on the silver screen at the 58th edition of Zlin Children and Youth International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

Iran film ‘The End of Dreams’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 58th edition of Zlin Children and Youth International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

Directed by Mohammad-Ali Talebi, the flick is to represent Iran at the Czech Republic film event.

‘The End of Dreams’ tells the story of a boy living in a northern Iranian village. Once his father buys a horse that the boy likes a lot. The boy makes a mistake when he goes for a ride and keeps it to himself; but keeping the mistake as a secret leads to even more troubles for him.

Talebi is mostly known for making movies for children. He was interested in several art forms already in the age of ten in an art institute for children and the youth.

Founded in 1961, Zlin Children and Youth Film Festival is the oldest and largest film festival of its kind in the world.  The festival is an active member of the European Children's Film Association.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for May 25-June 2, 2018 in Zlin, The Czech Republic.
